The Broken Melody.

This was to be his life testimony,

A melody composed one night on the balcony,

Written when the artist heart was in harmony,

So perfect that it would be an elaborate symphony.

But life is never perfect,

The melody lacked that one true aspect,

That the artist was weary of the melody’s prospect,

Knowing the sad truth that life can only be viewed in retrospect.

So he doubted his vision,

Was the melody an illusion,

Or was it going to be his perfect creation,

The artist was left in delusion whether to complete the mission.

Write he must,

Perfect or not, all would be dust,

The melody may be his last thrust,

To create a perfect symphony before he becomes part of earth’s crust.
