Freedom in the Mirror
I have come to realize that in this life, we are never truly free. From birth to death, we are bound to others and others bound to us. Our decisions have ripple effects which cuts across generations.
In every decision, we are blinded by the reality that we have come to accept. But what is freedom? Is it getting everything you want? I have been thinking about this and I have come to accept that to be truly free, you have to let go of everything and I mean everything.
I want to be a free spirit but I am lost among family, friends and the world. The knowledge I gain only makes me a greater slave to this reality. The teacher King Solomon said it in Ecclesiastes 1:18, “For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.” So how do I attain my freedom?

I have deeply thought about this but all solutions are immersed in the lie that we live. What if everything is an illusion that we were created for the sole purpose of transcending them?
I tend to think that God plays the game of dice – chance you call it or destiny or whatever name that would give meaning to the purpose in your life.
He seats on his throne and watches us, amused by our ignorance, intrigued by our ego and mesmerized by the lengths we would go to define that we were the ultimate creation.
So back to the question of freedom, how does one achieve it? I tend to think that the only purpose we are all in this world is to be the greatest thing that we can be and that is how you attain your freedom. Be you. With all the imperfection that you think you may have, you were created in the image of God I hear them say.

What am I trying to say here? God is looking at his mirror – you. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and wondered if it is the same person looking back at you? Think about the lowest point in your life, does it pain you that no one in the world would understand. The place where you can only talk to a supreme being because you feel he would understand.
Anyway may be I am talking a lot of mumbo jumbo here that I am going to be thrown in hell for. But what if and a big if hell does not exists. What if religion is a form of leadership just like a political party? Political parties and religious groups have a lot in common if you think about it?
Since you are not convinced, let us analyze some of the few great similarities. They all have a leader who directs the people, they all have symbols, they all have a source of power, and there are benefits or drawback of following and not following the group.
So you daily question the powers of the world but never question the unforeseen one. Then you believe that the powers of the world are put in place by the unforeseen one meaning you are inadvertently questioning the unforeseen one. To me this doesn’t add up. You say to yourself, I would pray for a good leader for my country, religious people pray all the time and shit never happens. What I can say is that power resides where it belongs. Quit praying, build an army and take over the world, Hitler did it.
Crazy as it may seem, the only way to survive in this world is to give them your crazy and forget everyone else.
